Identifying the types of records retained in your organization is the first step in creating your retention schedule. The Interviews feature of Versatile Retention allows you to collect and store record title information gathered in interviews within in your organization.
This tool replaces the “legal yellow notepad” and makes your data gathering much more efficient by automating the process. Keep track of record locations, special retention requirements, and other useful notes.
Organize the record titles you add in Interviews into Interview Folders. Once interviews have been recorded, you can build your records retention schedule directly from your Interviews. This simplifies retention schedule development, since you don’t have to re-key the information you entered in your record titles.
From this classification system, you can create your “official” schedule titles and apply consistent retention polices to similar types of records. The interview data serves as a reminder of who you talked to and what information was gathered.
