Are the Versatile products compatible with Windows Vista? What about Windows 7?

Yes, all of our Versatile products are compatible with both Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Which database platforms can be used for Versatile software?

All of our Versatile products can use MSSQL 2005 and 2008, as well as MSSQL 2005 Express. In addition we fully support Oracle 9, 10, and 11.

Can I add my own citations in Retention 8?

Yes! One of the major features of this release is to allow users with proper permissions to add citations to the database.

Will Retention 8 include international citations?

No, international retention rules can be quite different for each business, so this type of research is normally handled by our consulting team, which has done research in over 50 countries. However, you can add your own international citations to the system, even with native language text.

If I add my own citations, will they conflict with citations posted by Zasio?

No, we have modified the data structure to ensure unique identifiers, and we can distinguish between your citations and ours.

Do I need the Versatile Notification System to see new or updated change requests?

No, Retention 8 has a new Messages section that will alert you to changes as soon as you login to the application. However, if you want to receive notifications by email, you will need the VNS module.

Does Retention 8 link to Versatile Enterprise?

The database for Retention 8 has been modified to work seamlessly with Versatile Enterprise. Enterprise 8 will complete the integration process, but in the meantime you can contact Sales or Support for linking options with Enterprise 7.

I have a lot of users who are no longer with the company, but I can’t delete them because they are linked to interviews and schedule titles. Does version 8 resolve this problem?

Yes, in Retention 8 you can deactivate users so they don’t show on pick lists, and they can’t login to the system.

Will I need additional licenses to allow authorizers to review and approve schedule changes?

If you have the Versatile Web add-on then authorizers can review and approve through a standard Web browser. In fact, if you have both VNS and the Web add-on, they will receive automated emails that allow them to click a link within the email to go right to the associated change request.
